  • Last month my car broke down just south of Mackay. I was on my way south from the Daintree to South Australia.
    I was given Ezy Mechanical’s number and within 15 minutes the tow truck was there and back to the workshop – water pump seized and drive belts needed replacement.
    Derek Davis and the team were outstanding. They sourced three different outlets to get the parts and the gang worked back three hours to ensure I was safely on my way.
    I have never experienced this level of customer service and understanding in any field. Thanks so much guys, it’s greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work.

  • On our journey back to the Gold Coast during the recent school holidays, I experienced problems with my motor vehicle as we travelled through Mackay.

    I drove back to the dealer for the maker of my vehicle and explained that I had a problem with my car. I also explained that we were travelling through and that I was concerned that I could experience more problems.

    We (my Mum, my son and I) did not want to be stuck along the Marlborough stretch. The receptionist basically laughed at me and said they were too busy and that we had to leave the car. Leaving the car was not an option for us.

    He then suggested that I drive the car to another garage. When I arrived at that garage they said that they were in the process of changing hand and they could not help. They also forwarded me on to another mechanic next door. I went to the reception and explained my situation. They, without hesitation, told me to drive the car into their workshop. We were invited into their office, where we were made very welcome. We were offered a drink of water and my son was offered pencils and paper to occupy his time.

    A short time later the mechanic came back in to say he had found the problem. Apparently on my type of car, if the brake pads wear too thin, a siren like warning is emitted. This was the sound I could hear and this is the sound I explained to the male receptionist at the car dealer.

    I had had my car at the Gold Coast dealer not two weeks before for a full service. There was no mention that the brake pads needed to be changed.

    The mechanic suggested that the brake pads be changed because of the distance I had yet to travel. I totally agreed and within the hour we were back on our way.

    I would like to end this letter by saying thank you to Ann, Michael and the staff at Ezy Mechanical for their wonderful and helpful assistance and their genuine concern. Thanks to them, we had a safe trip back to the Gold Coast.

  • We were stuck with a broken down car and a caravan. These people towed our car and repaired it, we hired a ute to tow our caravan for two weeks to finish our holiday while the car was getting repaired. They went beyond to help us. The ute was great, pulled the van better than my car. If you want great service and people use these guys.
